For some NIU students, Cambodian genocide hit close to home

James Tschirhart | Northern Star Professor Kheang Leang sits at his desk recalling his memories as a child working in the farming camps under the Khmer Rouge in Cambodia. Leang, who used to be an interpreter for the United Nations, currently teaches Cambodian at NIU.
